The Story of

William McGregor

Don Willy

"The traveler, as an eternal seeker, finds in every corner of the world a spark of their own divinity. May this experience be a beacon, guiding us to live with courage, crave adventure, and encounter ourselves in the vast canvas of destiny."

The Birth of a Legendary Explorer

In an era when atlases still held boundless mysteries, a boy destined to traverse the farthest reaches of the world was born amid the London mists. William McGregor was the child of Richard, a cartographer with a mischievous gaze, and Elena, a beautiful Colombian woman from the Yaxacuna tribe, whose dark hair whispered of jungle nights.

From his earliest days, William—known as Will—drank in his mother's enchanting stories under the lull of English nights: tales fragrant as jasmine, teeming with mythological creatures roaming the mangroves of Sylvaria, “The Flower of the Moon.” That mystery captivated him like no other, a natural marvel awaiting discovery within the depths of the Colombian jungle.

Exploring the Unknown

As his footsteps grew bolder, Will's passion for the unknown swelled like the tides. Guided by the winds of adventure, his explorer’s boots touched every corner of the planet—from sharing dinner with the legendary Yeti in the icy Himalayas to caring for an orphaned zebra taught tenderly by a lioness in the African savanna. Even amidst the crumbling ruins of Machu Picchu, his camera captured the first known evidence of the stellar visitors who once built them.

Yet amid these grand feats, the legend of the Flower of the Moon gnawed at his soul like obsidian teeth. Driven by the belief that this ancient marvel held unfathomable wisdom, Will delved into the heart of the Colombian jungle in relentless pursuit—unaware that this journey would reveal the deepest truths about himself and the cosmos.

The Fate of Icarus: William’s Fall and Rebirth

One storm-bell sky afternoon, while piloting his aircraft Ícaro over the dense green canopy, fate dealt a mocking blow. A mechanical failure sent the plane plummeting into the jungle’s ruthless embrace—much like its Greek namesake. Injured and disoriented by the crash, Will waged a fierce battle for survival amid vines and serpents.

Drawing strength from his father’s enduring spirit, he found his way to a hidden village where friendly hands tended to his wounds with ancient wisdom. Awakening, he felt profound gratitude—chance had reunited him with his mother’s tribe, the Yaxacuna. This return to his roots sparked an unquenchable flame to continue his quest for the Flower of the Moon.

Don Willy’s Home: Ícaro Retreat

The tribe’s elder, the wise hermit, revealed the secret of Silvarya: the unbreakable connection that binds all living beings with the land that sustains them. It is not something material—the Flower of the Moon lives within us. Moved, Will realized his obsessive treasure hunt had been in vain. He renounced his life as an explorer and chose to embrace the tribe’s philosophy and find balance.

With the help of the Yaxacuna, he restored the wrecked plane and transformed it into an eco-refuge named Ícaro Retreat. Surrounded by the lush jungle, he now spends his days in peace, affectionately known by the locals as “Don Willy” — the explorer who finally found his home.
